We invite you to be part of LECO – Learning from Endovascular Complications for Better Outcomes, a program designed to learn from real complications encountered in endovascular practice.

In endovascular care, complications are not failures; they are valuable learning opportunities that drive better outcomes when examined with curiosity and rigor.

At SITE 2026, we take learning beyond success stories to explore the decisions that matter most: those made in the face of complexity, uncertainty, and procedural challenges.

LECO Sessions transform real-world complications into evidence-based knowledge and improved clinical strategies. This year, LECO expands with two complementary tracks:

• LECO Medicine – On-site sessions
• LECO Nursing – International online session

Both share the same purpose: improving patient outcomes by learning from real complications.

LECO Medicine – On-site at SITE 2026

Abstract submission for SITE 2026 is now open. Selected works will be presented and discussed during the symposium, highlighting original research that pushes the boundaries of endovascular practice.

LECO Nursing – International Online Session

The LECO International Nursing Session will take place online within the framework of SITE 2026, from October 14–16 in Santiago de Compostela.

This session aims to strengthen nursing competencies in the comprehensive management of patients undergoing endovascular treatment, addressing immediate, intermediate, and late complications from a multidisciplinary perspective. It will feature speakers from Spain, the United Kingdom, and China.

Session Structure (3 hours)

International Lectures
Immediate, intermediate, and late complications from a nursing and technical perspective.
LECO Complex Cases
Two real cases presented with discussion by invited international experts.
Communications & Posters
Presentation of selected works from the open call.

Nursing Abstract Submission – Now Open
